Artist Joseph Demarais taught printmaking and sculpture at Trenton State College, creating the intricate intaglio method of image reproduction that is represented by the cover print. Since Demaraisβs death in 1971, his wife Anne and assistants Joan Wood and Susan Yost have directed the studio, executing new plates and prints which are part of the permanent collections of the Smithsonian, Yale Art Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, Fogg Museum at Harvard, and the Addison Gallery of American Art.
